Sunday was a beautiful sunny California day, perfect for Give Kids A Smile Night at the Ballpark. It was our annual Fundraising event and, like every year, it brings friends, family and colleagues together for a greater cause. Everyone enjoyed watching the 66ers play against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, and although the 66ers lost 7-1, it was still a fun filled game.
A special thanks goes out to one of our biggest supporters, Dr. Rick Nichols, who rented the patio so he could invite his friends, family and staff and share this experience with them. He said "GKAS Night with the 66'ers is one of the highlights of my year. For one night, I have the opportunity to combine two of my very favorite things, baseball and pediatric dentistry. Partnering with the 66'ers for the last 4 years has been awesome! It is a great way to get exposure for the TCDS GKAS program, as well as promoting good oral hygiene for the kids." We also want to thank Western U’s students, family and staff for selling tickets and supporting GKAS.
We not only thank them, but also everyone who joined us this past Sunday in our effort to raise funds for Give Kids A Smile program. The funds raised will definitely help in providing supplies and other support that our volunteers will need to make the 2012 clinics even better than last year.
