Dental Insurance Boot Camp and Claims Resolution Workshop

Dental offices continue to be plagued with dental insurance handling of claims and payments that just don’t seem to make sense. Dr. Dougan will discuss the dental insurance industry of 2019, and some current waves of change that are here or are on the horizon. During this update he will discuss, the insurance industry from “their” perspective. He will update us on current dental codes, quality measures, utilization management and how a 2019 dental officer can position themselves to be prepared, ready and successful with these forces at work.
Then Dr. Dougan will conduct a dental claims resolution workshop round table discussion.
IMPORTANT: Attendees are urged to pre-submit several problem claims to the dental society office in advance. Please send all submission claims to Yesenia at email@example.com. We will then discuss these issues round table style and blend our varied experience and viewpoints to provide possible solutions to the nagging and troublesome issues.

About Dr. Gary Dougan:
With twenty-plus years each of practice and directing insurance plans Dr. Dougan has directed QM and UM programs for LIBERTY, MetLife, United and Aetna dental plans, serving millions of subscribers. He has reviewed thousands of claims, audited hundreds of practices and is a noted nationwide speaker on practice management, working with insurance companies, dental quality management metrics and quality improvement.Gary earned a DDS from Georgetown, and his MPH from UCLA. He is a UCSF Health Care Leadership Fellow, and continues to participate in that program as a mentor to physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.
