This innovative, fast pace course will explore frequently seen problems that occur during restorative treatment, showcasing a variety of modes of failures. She will explore state of the art, real-time digital design and link 3D prosthetic planning with fundamental smile design principles. You will learn systematic techniques to treat every aspect and ensure aesthetics that are BUILT TO LAST.
These techniques can be used to both prevent and remedy these failures. While materials are often considered the cause of clinical failures, more often the failure occurs, there is often conflict and blaming between the dentist, patient, and laboratory technician. She will cover communication techniques that offer realistic patient expectations. Proven conflict resolution techniques to address these issued will be proposed, as well as a checklist for careful patient and laboratory communication. There is something everyone can learn.
- Master the usage of systemized techniques to treat simple to complex cases with veneers, crowns, and implants
- Obtain the knowledge of real-time digital smile design principles for both composite provisionals and porcelain
- Integrate sound occlusal principles to create synergy between form and function.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Bassett practices comprehensive restorative and aesthetic dentistry in Scottsdale, Ariz. She is an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and President 2015-2016. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry, an Associate member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, a KOIS Clinical Instructor, an active member in the Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and a Fellow in the AGD. Dr. Bassett is adjunct faculty, where she has taught the aesthetic continuum at the Arizona School of Dentistry. She is a member of the Catapult Group speakers bureau and evaluates new dental materials for them. She was voted top 5 female CE educators, an international lecturer, published author and is a member of the editorial board of several peer-reviewed publications. The cases presented in her lecturers are all published in peer review journals (http://www.drbassett.com/publications.html) She is a recipient of the Lucy Hobbs award for Clinical Expertise, Volunteer Dentist of the Year award for Arizona CASS dental clinic and has received the Give Back a Smile volunteer service award twice.
